Frankincense Resin – Pure Boswellia Resin
Hand-harvested from Boswellia sacra trees in the arid regions of East Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, Frankincense resin is one of the world's most precious and ancient resins. Used for millennia in spiritual, medicinal, and aromatic traditions, it embodies the purity and wisdom of plants.
Composition & Nutrients
Frankincense resin is naturally rich in:
- Boswellic acids (AKBA, ABA) – active compounds recognized for their anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties
- Terpenes & monoterpenes (α-pinene, limonene) – with purifying and aromatic virtues
- Natural resins (~60–70%) – support for combustion and extraction
- Essential oils (~5–9%) – responsible for the woody, warm, and slightly lemony scent
- Polysaccharides & gums (~20%) – emollient and soothing properties for the skin
How to Use
- As Incense: Place a few tears of resin on a glowing charcoal in an censer. Let the smoke perfume and purify your space. Ideal for meditation, relaxation, or purification rituals.
- As an Infusion (traditional use): Infuse 1 to 2 g of resin in 250 ml of hot (not boiling) water for 10 minutes. Strain and consume 1 to 2 times daily. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
- In Oil Maceration: Incorporate crushed resin into a vegetable oil (jojoba, argan) to prepare a homemade skin care product with regenerating properties.
- As Powder (cosmetic): Finely crush and integrate into your masks, balms, or creams to benefit from its toning and anti-aging properties.
